KARACHI – Former Pakistan Captain Wasim Akram on Tuesday endorsed a new name for the head coach of the national Test team.
While speaking at an event in Karachi, the former captain and “Sultan of Swing” shared his thoughts on the 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and the future coaching setup of the national team.
Akram said that former cricketer Younis Khan would be a good option as a batting coach for the national Test team. He added that Younis could help change the mindset of young players as a coach.
Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) appointed Aaqib Javed as the red-ball coach after the departure of former Australian fast bowler Jason Gillespie.
Meanwhile, the PCB recently named the former fast bowler as Director of High Performance while Mike Hesson was appointed head coach of Pakistan’s white-ball team.
