LAHORE – The Punjab government has announced the schedule for winter vacations for all public and private schools across the province.

Punjab caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi made the announcement, adding that there would be no restrictions in the upcoming week due to improved air quality.

Winter Holidays in Punjab 2023

The chief minister took to social media platform X, stating that the vacation will start from December 18, 2023 till January 1, 2024.

Taking to social media platform X, he wrote: “We held a meeting with experts and govt officials today addressing the SMOG challenge in Punjab. With an improved Air Quality Index (AQI), no restrictions are planned for the upcoming weekend. Additionally, winter vacations for children will commence from Dec 18 , 2023 to Jan 1, 2024”.

Sindh Schools Winter Holidays 2023

As per the announcement by Sindh Department of Education, all schools will remain closed from December 22 to December 31.

All private and government educational institutions, including universities, colleges and schools in the province will reopen on January 1, 2024, the announcement said.

Sind Department of Education said winter break notification has been issued in light of of decisions taken in the Steering Committee’s meeting.
