LAHORE – Indian sports journalist Sushant Mehta has been facing massive online backlash since his video clip carrying Islamophobic comments went viral on social media.
In the viral clip, Mehat can be heard giving controversial comments while reacting to an old video of Indian stand-up comedian Munawar Faruqui.
Who is Sushant Mehta?
Sushant Mehat runs a YouTube channel named “Sports Yaari” that features interviews of cricket players, game analysis and latest updates about Indian cricket team.
There are 800k subscribers on YouTube while the followers on X platform are over 19k. The show features Mehta and two to three other individuals who provides passionate reviews about the matches.
He also runs a sports website with same name.
Why is Sushant Mehta trending on social media?
He came under fire after he made controversial comments about Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) while reacting to an old video of Faruqui wherein he had discussed about Hindu deities.
