LAHORE – Controversial YouTuber Rajab Butt made headlines, and this time after leaving Pakistan. The content creator was facing serious accused of blasphemy, blackmail, and in dramatic twist, he has reportedly fled the country under the cover of darkness, leaving fans and critics stunned.
Butt, known for his flamboyant vlogs and controversial stunts, now faces some of the most serious charges yet. He faced heat after a citizen filed a petition in the Lahore High Court, accusing him of disrespecting Islamic figures in a recent video, a charge that carries life-altering consequences under Pakistan’s blasphemy laws 295A and 295C.
The teary-eyed social media star made announcement in a TikTok Live, revealing that he paused his vlogging career, citing concern for his family.
“I won’t upload anything without my mother’s permission. She’s heartbroken. She dropped me off at the airport herself,” he confessed, sparking a tidal wave of speculation about where he’s gone.
Despite going off the grid, Butt plans to continue appearing on TikTok Live, keeping fans guessing about his secret hideout.
“I’m not quitting forever, just waiting for the right time,” he said, hinting at upcoming “explanatory videos” to clear his name.
This is not his first brush with the law. Just months ago, an FIR was filed against Rajab Butt and cousin Salman Haider, with shocking allegations of rape, blackmail, and holding women against their will. While both secured bail, the internet has not forgotten.
Earlier this year, he was arrested the day after his lavish wedding for keeping a lion cub illegally and flaunting unlicensed firearms. Add to that the launch of his perfume named “295” — seen as a tasteless reference to Pakistan’s blasphemy law — and it’s clear Butt thrives on outrage.
