KARACHI – The summer vacations 2025 for schools are set to end on July 31 (Thursday) across Sindh with students expecting an extension in the holidays.
The summer break for all private and public schools began from June 1 in the province and as per the schedule the schools will reopen on August 1.
The Sindh Education Department had issued a notification in this regard, stating that all public and private educational institutions in will remain closed from June 1 to July 31.
Currently, there is no any official announcement of any extension in summer holidays, confirming that the schools will reopen on August 1 (Friday).
However, it expected that there would be low attendance in schools on Aug 1 and education activities are likely to resume properly on August 4 after weekend.
On the other hand, the government can take a review to extend the holidays if the ongoing rainy season intensifies in the province.
As per the latest forecast, monsoon currents are currently penetrating Sindh and upper parts of the country and likely to intensify in upper and central parts from 20th July. A fresh westerly wave is likely to approach upper parts on 21st July.
Meanwhile, the summer holidays commenced on May 28 in Punjab and they are set to end on August 14, with the educational institutions resuming activities on August 15.
This year, the Punjab government had announced the early summer break due to intensive heatwave conditions.
