Punjab Winter Holidays 2024
In Punjab, schools are likely to shut down for winter break from this week while School Education Department is yet to share official notification of winter vacations. As per original announcement, winter break is set to start from December 20, 2024, to January 10, 2025.
Islamabad Winter Vacations 2024
In country’s federal capital, Federal Directorate of Education (FDE), schools are expected to close state run institutions from December 22 to December 29, 2024, with reopening scheduled for December 30, 2024.
Private schools in metropolis have already confirmed their winter vacation from December 20, 2024, to January 6, 2025.
Sindh Winter Vacations 2024
Sindh Minster also confirmed its winter vacation dates, with schools closing from December 22 to December 31, 2024. Schools will reopen on January 1, 2025, following approval by the provincial authorities.

KP School Vacations
In KP, the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education announced that schools in plains will be closed from December 22, 2024, to April 1, 2025 while schools in hilly regions will remain closed until February 28, 2025.

In sparsely populated Balochistan, winter vacation is expected to start from December 16, 2024, to February 28, 2025, The prolonged break is in cold regions. In warmer regions, the break will be from January 1 to January 10, 2025.
